Our set is coming along nicely. Blair has all the tools she needs now that we've picked up some things from her still closed studios. I have a lot of great video gear at work, but my personal kit is pretty limited at this point.
- Canon 5D Mark III
- Fujifilm XT-1
- Two iPhone 6s
- A GoPro
- A document camera
- A wireless lav
- A light kit with three fixtures and stands
- Several tripods
- A manual slider
With the world turned upside down and so little human connection, we wanted the videos we produce to be different.
- They should be warm and look as good as we can make them out of the gate
- They should be fun and include a little humor!
- They should be timeless. We will be back in the world eventually, right? YouTube doesn't let you replace or update a video, so they shouldn't scream lockdown.
We have decided that the first videos should be short and touch on a simple tool or technique. We've decided to call them Tidbits and Tool Tips. With all that in mind, I have begun to work on an overall look and feels for the videos. Graphics, editing patterns and transitions to make the most of my limited camera gear, and an original music bed that hopefully is light and playful.
