So many reasons to learn Blender

Everyone is spending more time at home these days with the global pandemic. This has thrown normal patterns of life in the air. In the previous normal, my pattern had me with my wife Blair most Saturdays at her silversmithing studio. My time there usually involves changing light bulbs, fixing smithing equipment, dealing with stuff on the computer that runs the joint. The studio is now closed due to the pandemic, so Saturdays...uh...everyday for the next several weeks (months?) will be spent at home.

360 Video

My day job may require shooting 360 video for a VR project. Shooting 360 content is something I've never done before. I find YouTube extremely frustrating at times as the quality of the content can be...uh...less than awesome. I really don't need to see another unboxing video of the latest 360 camera, and I will need something way better than a consumer camera but won't have a Hollywood budget.

NAB show from a distance

The annual NAB show in Las Vegas is mind boggling. The only shows I've attended that are close would be NAMM and InfoComm. It's been a few years since I've made the trek to Las Vegas for NAB and sadly won't be able to make it this year. I've attended twice in the past, and both times I came away with new knowledge, new ideas, and new tools. While there's nothing quite like being there in person, one can keep up through the web. Here's what I'm looking forward to this year.
